The Los Angeles County Junior Golf Foundation

The Los Angeles County Junior Golf Foundation (LACJGF), a 501 (c)(3) Non-Profit Organization, was established to raise additional funds for the Los Angeles County Junior Golf Program (LACJGP) for the purpose of providing today’s youth with an opportunity to experience and enjoy the game of golf and learn valuable life skills such as Respect, Integrity, Character and Honor (RICH).
The LACJGF was created to work closely with the LACJGP in their effort in offering a comprehensive curriculum of lessons, clinics and tournaments to be regularly conducted at all 17 County golf facilities. A major goal of the program is to continue to offer these at no charge to the juniors. The LACJGF is a major sponsor of the Los Angeles County Public Links Junior Golf Championship. The Championship Final is no charge to the qualifiers and they are treated to a round of golf, lunch, a sleeve of balls, a hat, free range balls, a ball-marker belt clip and crystal trophies for the winners. All the amenities for the Championship Final are provided by the Foundation.
A long term goal of the LACJGF is to acquire and construct a permanent facility, exclusively used by junior golfers. The facility would have a driving range, three to four golf holes and a learning center.
The LACJGF has worked closely with the AT&T Classic Champions Tour event held at Valencia Country Club in Valencia, California. In four years, the LACLGF has received over $50,000 from the event. Junior golfers from throughout the County have participated in the event through one day clinics and through playing with Champions Tour members.
